Re-RCT, or re-root canal treatment, is a procedure performed to address issues that arise after an initial root canal treatment. It involves removing the existing filling material, cleaning and shaping the root canals, and placing new filling materials. Re-RCT becomes necessary when a tooth doesn't heal properly after the initial treatment, develops new infections, or the filling materials deteriorate.
